It's hard to believe that the kids are almost 4 weeks old.  While Syd and his big brother are having a good cuddle, the rest of the puppies are busy having a snack.  Syd is up to 14 ounces, while the rest weigh between 26 & 30 ounces but he's making great progress.  No more nighttime feedings (YAY!!) and he's eating formula and cereal out of a bowl, no more tube feeding!

Mattie went into labor on Tuesday and our puppies were born around noon.  We have 4 boys and 2 girls, 3 Blenheims and 3 tricolors.  All are doing well.

The puppies are out of our girl Mattie (Can. CH Hillwood Fade to Black and CH. Sheeba Emerald King) and we are very pleased with the  litter.

The 2 girls are on the left and the boys one the right.  As you can see, we have one tiny boy, he is doing well in spite of being half as big as the rest.  He is back to his birth weight and getting supplemented every 3 hours.  In spite of his size, he is just as busy as the others.  Time will tell how he turns out.  Sleep has been a rarity this week but I will survive.

Bridget's litter mate Charlie received a 4 point major today at the Macomb Kennel Club show in Armada.  Bridget took Breed and their litter sister Shimmer was Reserve Winner's Bitch.  Good family day.  Congratulations Juli and Charlie!!

It's Official!!!!

Great news, DJ and Bridget both received their official certificates that they are Grand Champions.  We are so proud of our kids and want to send a special thanks to Juli Bennett of Hillwood Cavaliers for allowing us to have these two wonderful dogs.  Bridget is also number 21 in the 2012 Grand Champion top 100 standings.

We're expecting!!

Mattie, Hillwood Fade To Black, went to visit Karin Ostmann in April and was bred to her wonderful boy Sam (Sheeba Emerald King).  We took her in for an ultrasound on May 31 and Dr. Schultz found 7 puppies.  Mattie is due July 8th and we are very excited about this upcoming litter.

Bows (Coverdale Faded Roses)

Bows is our lovely little girl out of Mattie by Orchard Hill Spoken For.  We have been running her on as a possible show prospect or brood bitch.  She is petite and I don't think she will do well either in the show ring or the whelping so we will be placing her.

New AKC Grand Champion Hillwood Diamond Jim and New AKC Grand Champion Hillwood Diamond Diva

DJ finished his Grand this past weekend in Kalamazoo.  Due to a clerical error, his 4 point major in Indianapolis was not awarded to him so we brought him back out to show and he finished his GCH on Thursday May 24th.  We will not completely celebrate until we have the certificate in our hands.  Bridget his sister finished her GCH the next day.  It was a great weekend for us.  Bridget's brother Hillwood Diamond in the Rough and her sister Hillwood Diamond Dust both picked up major wins in Kalamazoo.
